It is a reaction to unsuccessful attempts at strengthening a place’s identity through the provision of public art, distinct street furniture and place branding. Whilst these provide places with a distinct visual feature, they play little part in the real identity and feel of an area.
Aurea subtly introduces a new layer to the background sound of an area which can only be heard on sunny days. This new sound gradually becomes synonymous to the good feeling induced by the good weather, and over time becomes synonymous to the qualities of the area.
