At Urban Initiatives I managed a team, including transport and property consultants, in the production of a masterplan for a failing historical town centre in Stoke-on-Trent adjacent to a 10,000sqm supermarket.
We developed a number of “Big Ideas” aimed at reversing the decline of the town centre. These included initiatives such as; removing a one-way system, identifying buildings for SME’s, encouraging in-town living, and identifying site to be redeveloped.
During the project I organised a high profile stakeholder ‘Big Ideas’ event, that included a number of external speakers and an ideas development workshops.
I also liaised with local artists to produce artwork related to the masterplan and consultation programme.
