I’m a qualified urban designer with a background in architecture and nearly ten years experience working in masterplaning and regeneration. I have spent the last year working as a design officer at the Greater London Authority’s Planning Decisions Unit. Before this I worked as an independent consultant assisting neighbourhood groups in producing Neighbourhood Plans and visioning documents, including the Chatsworth Road Neighbourhood Plan. I’m also chair of the Chatsworth Road Traders and Residents Association.
Prior to this I had spent five years working for the design and planning consultancy Urban Initiatives. There I worked on a range of projects from city-wide visioning programmes, growth strategies, neighbourhood plans and design codes. Projects there included the Newcastle Gateshead Economic Masterplan, Swindon Development Strategy, Ladyport Visioning as well as the projects illustrated here and many others.
Before working at Urban Initiatives I spent two years working for East, working on projects such asActon Town Square, Barking Development Framework, and the Woolwich Development Framework as well as assisting on all their LDA Design Advisory work. During this time I also helped set up the ma3t design collective. As part of this I worked on a number of projects such as the Vending Machine Project and Aurea.
